The Pope and Islam

Should the Pope allow Muslims to pray in a Spanish cathedral? That's caught the eye... and the ire... of some Politmus members.
Some believe it's unfair for Muslims to ask Catholics to allow them to pray at their sacred sites when some sacred areas of the Islamic faith are not receptive to non Muslims.
Others suggest that Christians should be help accountable to their own standards and not compare themselves with how other religions treat non-believers.
It's an interesting conversation. If you have an opinion, join in at Politmus.

Rosie and The Donald

At Poltimus, we like to explore the serious subjects--nukes in North Korea, terrorism, jihad, American politics, and, of course, the deteriorating relationship between Rosie and the Donald.
An anonymous member of Politmus has rated a Yahoo news story about Trump and O'Donnell's...ummm... debate.
You can check it out here. It's listed among new links.

Video By Us

Can you share and rate political videos on Politmus?
Sure. Politmus member, Lone Ranger, shares a David Zanuck video that pokes fun at the Iraq Study group and, according to Lone Ranger, does so with devastating effect. In Lone Ranger's words:
"If it's December 1941 in Casablanca, what time is it in New York?"
So, if you see good political videos or highly biased political videos, share them at Politmus.

Ending Sanctions?

North Korea wants an end to its sanctions... and Politmus member, entebbe, thinks that's because they're working.
He also thinks that that is precisely why the UN will buckle under and remove the sanctions.
Can you feel the love for the United Nations?
Whether you have love for the UN or hate, check out Politmus and tell the world what you're interested in.

Better Fences, Better Neighbors?

Politmus posters take on immigration.
A story about a lawsuit against the DNS has brought posters from both sides of the isle--some want better protection against illegal immigration, some want an elimination of borders.
You can join in the conversation, too. Just go to Politmus. Enter a link you want to rate. Place your cursor on the bias bar (where you believe the story's political sympathies lie). And add any comments that you want.
It's that easy.

Islam is Peace?

Is Islam a religion of peace... or an excuse to make war on the west?
That's the discussion on Politmus in recent days. Two sites--DhimmiWatch and JihadWatch have been politmused.
Some of the comments include this stinger:
Because the West is facing a concerted effort by Islamic jihadists, the motives and goals of whom are largely ignored by the Western media, to destroy the West and bring it forcibly into the Islamic world -- and to commit violence to that end even while their overall goal remains out of reach.
Go to Politmus and add your own views on Islam, or on other sites you believe are telling the truth, or not so much.

Conspiracy sites always show up on Politmus.
And, most Politmus members, like the Lone Ranger, rate and comment on which sites they trust and which ones are too biased.
Check it out here.
So, what do you believe? There was a second shooter? The CIA is in contact with aliens? Politmus is run by operatives of the Salvation Army?

West Wing Bag?

You can't handle the truth. That's according to Politmus member, Entebbe, who not only takes shots at Hollywood, he takes a couple go-rounds at Americans. Here's his comments.

Here's a DVD review for you: the West Wing is infantile Hollywood fantasy at its best. No wonder Americans can't accept the grim reality of the war on terror.

Does it have your red, white, and blue American blood boiling? Or, is he right?
You can weigh in at Politmus. Just find the Amazon link, click it, and rate it yourself on the bias bar. Then, add your comments in the box and hit the "rate" button.

Civil War... A (barely) Civil Discussion

A story on Bush's version of the war... errr... insurrection... umm... insurgency... or is it civil war in Iraq has inflamed the membership of Politmus.
An anonymous poster says that there is a civil war in Iraq; another new member, Entebbe, says that the insurgents in Iraq have identified the weak spot--the American people themselves!
You can check it out here
And post your own views by rating the story, then adding your comments.
Just try to keep it civil.

Obits?

Can you rate obituaries? One Politmus member asks.
Sure.Just place the web address of the Milton Friedman obituary in the review box and rate it on the bias bar.
If it's on the web, it probably has a bias. And, that's why we're here!

Is Murtha a "switch hitter?"

As Rep. John Murtha gets important backing for his bid for majority leader, Politmus members get busy letting their feelings out on Murtha... and the media coverage of his potential post take-over.
One member says that Murtha is a "switch hitter--he talks right and legislates left." Another believes he's a hero.
If you have something to say about Jack Murtha--or any other issue, sign up for Politmus, and swing away.

Vote... And Get Ready to Politmus

No matter what happens in the election today, you can be sure that the media will be prepared to slice, dice, and spin the results in an infinite different ways.
That's why we created Politmus. Now, you have a chance to continually cast your vote for websites that bring you the truth... or their twisted version of the truth.
We have been receiving some feedback that we need better instructions on how to use Politmus. So, here's the rundown.
Take (cut and paste) whatever URL you want to rate and place it in the add/review site.
Click on add/review.
A new screen will appear with the "Politmus" bar on the top.
You can click anywhere on that bar to rank the bias of the website you're reviewing.
(There's also a link to the site, if you want to open it in another window... and surf to rate more urls.)
After you click the bar, then hit "rate" and maybe add a comment or two.
That's all there is to it.
Please keep that feedback coming!

Election Day Eve

Candidates are making their last stumps on television, radio, paper, and on the web. And, Politmus members are taking note. Even polls can be politmused.
Electoral-vote (www.electoral-vote.com), a poll site, was politmused over the weekend. The site predicts the elections will result in a Democratic controlled Senate.
So, as you get ready to make your vote count, make your politmus rating count, too.

Election electricity in the air

As the election nears, close races are starting to pop up in Politmus. Santorum-Casey race is hot and both names popped up in Politmus.
By the way, lots of users believe that you only use Politmus to monitor the media. Actually, you can use Politmus on any url.
For key races, many members are just inputting the candidates' websites into Politmus and rating these folks on the Politmus bar. Some are leaving their comments, too.
Try it out for races in your area.
Politmus is kind of a voltmeter for election electricity.

Kerry Scares Up Politmus Users

Was it a joke?
Was it a bad joke?
Was it a stinging indictment on the Bush administration's handling of the Iraq war?
Our members are weighing in on the John Kerry controversy. Stories on Kerry's statement--and even John Kerry's senate page--were "politmused" yesterday. Some members even added their comments, leaving no doubt about where they stand.
What do you think? Make sure your thoughts are known.
